Another hot day called for another easy breezy maxi dress. I really love this dress because of the color blocking and the subtle chevron print. I wore this out to movies in the park (they were showing The Help) and listening to the world's worst blue grass band. No, seriously all they did was sing about people dying and other terribly depressing topics. The band was awful but the movie was great -- and the book was even better!
Outfit Details:
Maxi Dress: Target (this spring) // Earrings: Express // Sunnies: Loft
Watch: Michael Kors // Bracelet: gift // Flip Flops: Tory Burch
Anyone else slightly disappointed when you read a book then watch the movie only to find it doesn't live up to your expectations?
Happy Monday everyone! Hope you all have a lovely week!
-Pretty Little Things
I love the bold blocks of color at the bottom of the dress, you look great!

The movie wasn't as good as the book, but that didn't stop me from crying loudly in the movie theater. How embarrassing!

Target has really great stuff! You look great.

I think it is pretty typical that a movie usually doesn't live up to the book's expectations! There's more details in words usually and action in a movie moves so fast! Great dress!
ReplyDeleteI love this. This is awesome, and I am so jealous of how perfect this dress is!

I think the books are ALWAYS better than the movie. ;) Ohhh, and I just hate it when they put the actors from the movie on the cover of the book! Grrr. Hahaha. Love your maxi dress, isn't Target the best? Love!
ReplyDeleteGreat dress! I love your casual but chic weekend look - the colorblock dress with the simple but interesting earrings and your great ponytail (seriously jealous of your volume!) are all perfect together for a casual weekend outing :)

What a great find from Target. I've not bought maxi dresses from there before, they always seem so long and I am too lazy to get them altered.
