My First Experience with Peplum : )

 At first when I saw this peplum craze taking off, I couldn't help but wonder why anyone would want to add extra fabric to their hips and make them look even bigger than they already do!! But then I saw so many fellow bloggers rock out the peplum trend, and look so classic and effortlessly chic. Needless to say my interest grew until eventually I had a LBPD (little black peplum dress) hanging in my closet! (and yes I just coined that term!!) And here is the result of that look -- and great outfit for work!

Outfit Details:

Black Peplum Dress: Target -- Blazer: Target -- Bubble Necklace: J.Crew (gift from D)

Belt: Old Navy -- Watch: Michael Kors -- Wedge Heels: Tory Burch

And of course another self-mani -- this time getting more comfortable to actually try a darker shade (because let's face it, the darker colors show your mistakes so much more that a light color does!!)

Again, this might not look like much to the skilled nail painter, but to me this is another victory for me and my wallet! : )

What's inspiring me lately....

next pinterest project? I think this would be so cute to use for an inspiration board next to my closet, which would make getting dressed in the morning so much easier, and much for fun!

 A bonfire that looks like this. I can just imagine sitting with a loved on, sipping hot drinks and snuggling in a sweatshirt and blanket. To me, this is what fall is all about : )

A Pop of Orange & Leopard

Even though it's not quite cold yet, I've been longing to break out the sweaters. This short sleeved sweater/cardigan was a perfect layering piece to give this outfit just the right amount of coziness I was looking for!And the little pop of orange and leopard gives it just the subtle kick of fun in my conservative work place.

Leafy Greens

"You look like a pile of leaves" -- is what D says to me when he sees me wearing todays outfit. I'm really starting to love his little outfit analogies -- he's too cute! Anyway, this is an outfit I wore to work. A hunter green sweater --( hunter green is back baby!) and a scarf to add a pop of color.
