summer bucket list #2: go fruit picking

Checked off the first thing off my summer bucket list: going fruit picking. So funny story about going cherry picking. We wanted to go cherry picking last weekend because my brother's girlfriend has never picked fruit in her life. Say what??  Growing up, our parents were always taking us cherry, strawberry, blueberry, apple picking -- you name it! You can even check out my last picking experiences doing strawberries and snap peas from last summer's bucket list, or apple picking from my fall bucket list. So we wanted to make this special for Jenn's first time. Of course it had to be nearly 100 degrees and crazy humid, and of course we waited too long in the season so all the cherries were picked through. Instead D and my brother went venturing off into the orchards while the girls stayed in the shade, and they came back with peaches.

Overall we had a great day! After fruit picking we headed out for some pizza for lunch, dinner at my parents house, and then headed out to the local bars in my hometown. Total win for the weekend : )
