spring color blocking & brights.

As I've mentioned before, I need more transitional pieces to take me from winter to spring. Here in New Jersey, the temperature is still dipping to the low 30's and girlfriend just can't be running around in my usual spring gear. Instead I'm going with some color blocking pieces that are showcasing bright pops of color and fun patterns, but also incorporate long sleeve blouses and jeans. Also -- super excited with Chanel's Spring 2013 nail polish colors. I mean, does Chanel ever get it wrong?

1. What is your current beauty obsession?

Chanel's Fall 2012 Nail Polish's have just hit stores.

Loving these colors -- and already getting excited for everything fall.

Even though we're adults now, I still get that giddy "back to school shopping" feeling!

2. What is one beauty item you wished you owned?

Creme De La Mer Moisturizing Cream. I've heard sooo many people rave about this cream and how its changed their lives (and their faces!) but for $140 for 1 oz., it's a little pricey for my budget. But hey a girl can dream. La Mer can be found here for anyone who is interested.

3. What kind of posts are your favorite to read and write?

I definitely love any outfit/look of the day posts because they always give me and my closet fresh ideas and inspiration. Especially ones that include the inspiration photo and the blogger's take on it. I also love food posts where people are posting gorgeous photos of delicious, mouthwatering food ---YUM! I'm getting hungry just thinking about it ; )

4. What inspired you to become a blogger?

A few things I think. For one, as an adult (many years out of college) I felt like I didn't know how to dress anymore. You weren't a teenager and you didn't quite feel like an adult yet (and I still don't at 29!). But anyway, I always struggled with looking fashionable and put together, and I feel like blogging about style and fashion has helped me move out of my comfort zone and try new things. Blogging has definitely helped me define my style more and take more risks. Also, blogging gives me a creative outlet to dabble in which my career (teaching/counseling) doesn't let me indulge in.

5. What color nail polish are you wearing right now?

I'm wearing OPI Koala Berry.
