Cold Weather Essentials: Leather jacket, fur and booties

This is another one of my favorite #tbt outfits that I wear ALL.THE.TIME. Fall weather is the perfect weather for wearing a leather jacket (which goes with pretty much anything by the way -- so invest in a nice one you can wear for years) and little accessories like fur and booties are also classics that complement nearly any outfit. These pieces are in constant rotation in my wardrobe, and I just change up the sweater/top and accessories to give them fresh looks. Like here, I added a little swipe of red lipstick for some extra sassiness ; ) Plus the holidays are coming up so OMGredeverything. Even Starbucks has their red holiday cups out already! Gingerbread latte anyone?

So what are some of your cold weather essentials that you are constantly wearing on repeat?
Hope you all have a happy (and thirsty) Thursday!

polka dot tops, boots and some fur...

This was one of my favorite outfit last year (#tbt) and right around now the weather is getting crisp enough to get away wearing only a leather jacket and be comfortable. Awesome! Throw on some boots and a little faux fur and you've got yourself a chic autumn outfit.

Leather jacket: Gift  (nice option) // Polka dot sweater: Old Navy last year (cute option)
Faux Fur scarf: J.Crew factory (similar) // Black mini skirt: Target (nice option) // Leggings: Gap // Boots: Steve Madden (similar)
Also I'm a big fan of wearing black and brown together (always have) yet some people think this is a fashion faux pas?
What are you thoughts on wearing black and brown together?

Happy almost Friday!!

Autumn Rain. #tbt

Rainy days are always hard to dress for. I don't know about you....but having soggy and wet pant legs is probably the grossest feeling out there. Since I'm short, I feel like my pant legs on rainy days get wet practically all the way up to my knee! Not cool. So for me, leggings and boots are a must. Rain boots if you got 'em (like my favorite Hunter boots) are even a plus. But since rocking rain boots at work might look kinda silly, regular boots will do. And don't forget to treat your leather so they don't get ruined in the rain!  Rainy days also make me want to cozy up under a blanket and snuggle with a hot cup of tea. Since that isn't in the cards for most of us who have to go to work-- I need rainy day outfits to be a comfy and cozy and possible.

How do you all dress for a rainy day?
Anyone else crave comfy clothes?

Happy Friday Eve! : )
